Long-Tail Sunset - Spicy Thai chile, Tamarind, Coconut$8.99
Long-tail Sunset is a tamarind coconut curry blend. This spicy and tangy spice blend is a homage to the fishermen of Southern Thailand. Delicious on seafood, it makes an amazing curry sauce that I love on just about everything. It is also great on rice, noodles, chicken, pork, vegetables, and stir-fry! Try this recipe!
We always grind in small batches from the freshest spices imaginable.
Enhance the flavor of this bold spice by adding a pinch of salt or create a delicious rub by mixing equal parts salt, sugar, and spice.
Clumping can occur and is completely normal. Our spices are ground fresh so they will still contain their essential oils and we do not use any salt or anti caking agents.
Here are just a few ideas!
- Thai curry sauce
- Any stir-fry
- Use as a rub on fish or chicken
- Make a compound butter with fish sauce and lime
- Soups and stews
- Sprinkle it on your eggs

It's a nice blend which will be time saving in adding some Thai flavors to food. I tried it on the chicken recipe and it was tasty BUT the recipe needs some tweaking. The video shows about 2 cut up fryers not a few chicken legs; 2 cans of coconut milk is way too much for the amount of the recipe and was certainly enough for a whole cut up chicken, and as nice as the chicken tasted even adding a few minutes to the recipe at a higher temp than you called for did not really crisp it up.
I have never received the item I purchased / so hard to do a review Shelbyjmarie@aol.com
Love it although it was a tad to spicy for some pallets
Very pleased with the spice, used it to make the prawns with Thai compound butter (used large shrimp as prawns are hard to find in my area). It was wonderful.
I love the combo of flavors and travel stories behind the spice blends. Even though I didn't order a boxed set, they put my spices into a lovely box with a beautiful wood spoon. Such a delightful surprise!
