This bright and citrusy spice is an heirloom variety from Egypt.

Coriander is a member of the parsley family and is the seed of the cilantro plant. Coriander seeds can be traced back over 3,000 years ago to Ancient Egypt. This spice has been found in Egyptian tombs and it was believed to be aphrodisiacal and used for its medicinal properties and cooking. Now coriander is found in cuisines all over the world and often used with cumin.
